Derek Betka

Derek Betka is a Registered Representative with Lincoln Financial Securities and is a Senior Associate at First Heartland Financial Group. He is available at Generations Bank in Exeter, NE. His practice is focused on taking the time to get to know his clients and finding out how to tailor their financial portfolio to pursue their objectives. He strives to make sure all clients achieve their financial goals.

Derek grew up on a farm near Exeter, NE. He attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business. He spent his first six years in the financial services industry as an agent with John Hancock. In 2012, he transitioned into an independent agent, so he could better meet the needs of his clients. Derek is on the Executive Board of the Young Leaders of Fillmore County organization, a member of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, and the Alumni board President of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. He is also a committee member of Fillmore County Development Corporation. Derek and his wife, Brooke, were married in 2007. They now have three daughters, Kayleigh, Kelsey, and Kaitlyn. The Betka family currently resides in Fairmont, NE. Derek enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, playing softball, traveling, and cheering on the Huskers.
