Jason Blomgren has been a Financial Advisor for almost twenty years and is the President & CEO of First Heartland Financial Group. Jason has earned the designations of: Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Certified Financial Planner ®. He is also a member of the Des Moines Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors along with The Society of Financial Service Professionals. Jason received the prestigious 2015 NAIFA – Iowa Four under 40 Award for demonstrating great leadership and commitment to his community, family, and team. He has been a featured speaker at many seminars throughout the Midwest and has appeared on television broadcasts sharing his experience in planning for all stages of life. Jason presents informational workshops to the community on a regular basis with topics including professional money management, investment planning, estate planning, and long-term care planning. Jason grew up in Boone, Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa with a business degree in Marketing. He and his wife, Stacy, have five children, including two sets of twins (Meagan and Mackenzie, Jacob and Molly, and Macy). Jason enjoys activities such as biking, golfing, hunting, and running. Jason is very active in the community, sitting on the board of the Waukee YMCA and volunteering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He is very passionate about baseball and softball; he coaches all five of his kids. Jason’s family is currently enjoying road trips throughout the United States to accomplish their goal of seeing a game in all 30 Major League stadiums. Since 2007 he has completed six marathons (including the 2008 Boston Marathon). In July 2009, Jason earned the title of Ironman after completing the Ironman USA Competition in Lake Placid, NY. This event included a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile run.
